Incorporating an Aromatherapy Candle into an Oil Massage
Your massage therapy school should be able to provide you with all the background, information and techniques to provide therapeutic massages to appreciative patients and clients alike. But if you really want to establish yourself as an effective massage therapist, make sure you take various classes in aromatherapy, massage oils, and other accessory items.
What Is an Aromatherapy Candle?
An aromatherapy candle is basically a normal candle that has been infused with various herbal extracts, essences, and aromas. As the candle burns, pleasant vapors are released into the surrounding area creating a calming effect for everyone around. Used in conjunction with your regular massage routine, you can increase the effects of either (the aromatherapy or the massage) many times over.
What Is an Oil Massage?
An oil massage is basically a regular massage that incorporates various types of body oils (many of which are derived from the same ingredients used in aromatherapy). Sometimes, these oils are heat activated and release pleasant aromas that further relax the body. Other times, the oil merely serves as a lubricant. Either way, recipients of an oil massage typically feel extremely relaxed after their session.
Where Can You Study Aromatherapy and Oil Massage?
Most any massage therapy school can provide you with the necessary background in these two areas. But don't discount the numerous books and Internet sites on the subject. Incorporating oil or an aromatherapy candle into your massage routine will prove extremely effective at securing clients, getting repeat business, and establishing your reputation as a talented massage therapist.
