High on Holistic Medicine
According to the American Holistic Medical Association, holistic medicine is a healing practice combining art and science to help addresses the needs of the whole person -- physical, mental, and spiritual. It is an approach that is growing in popularity. Recently, the National Institute of Health's National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine released a report that showed that 36 percent of Americans use some form of alternative remedies. An example of this trend is the increasingly common use of a technique like acupuncture for back pain help. Clearly, the time has never been better to try a career in holistic medicine.
Making the Switch to a Career in Holistic Medicine
One of the best ways to help your future in the Holistic Medicine sphere is to get a solid education at one of the many schools that offer training in the field. According to a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), 60 percent of American medicine schools offering a MD degree teach variants of alternative and/or complementary medicine. Alternately, you can go to an institution that specializes in holistic medicine education. If it helps, you can even choose to get training from online alternative medicine courses or at schools offering it via distance education. Wherever you choose to go, know that you will able to offer services from back pain help to high blood pressure help. This is an increasingly accepted discipline that promotes health and wellness ideals that are both physically and spiritually satisfying.
