Becoming a Rolfing Practitioner
Have you ever wondered why some people have chronic back pain, or other chronic pain associated with different muscles in their bodies? There are definitely environmental reasons for this type of pain, including obesity, injury, and disease. It is easy to see how these environmental factors could cause chronic pain, but what about those who are more predisposed to pain than others?
Many health professionals claim that the reason people get pain in their joints and muscles is because their bodies have been pulled out of alignment by gravity, posture, and various lifestyle habits. There is a holistic treatment called Rolfing which attempts to put a body back into alignment through deep tissue massage techniques.
Rolfing has become a popular treatment among athletes to help them prevent serious injury. If you want to be a Rolfing practitioner, you'll need to become certified at a Rolfing school. Certification typically lasts approximately 8 months. Many people who enter the health and fitness industry eventually become Rolfing practitioners in order to expand their suite of professional skills.
Massage Spa School and Physical Training Certifications Offer Career Foundation
If you're just embarking on a health and fitness career, you may want to first enroll in a massage spa school or physical training certification program. With certifications in these two areas, you'll be able to find more work. Rolfing hasn't yet been accepted into the mainstream, although it has been shown to really help those who go through the treatments.
