Wellness Products and Services Provide Health Lifeline
America is definitely full of ironies. One of the biggest ironies facing our country today is the fact that we have a full scale obesity epidemic and we are also extremely health conscious. How can these two scenarios exist at the same time? The easy answer is that the U.S. is big enough for the slobs and the supermen. The more difficult answer probably has to do with national identity, puritan values, and placing the individual above the community. Of course that is probably a conversation for another time. If you've chosen to live among the healthy, have you ever thought about making a career in the wellness industry?
Wellness Workers Disseminate Important Information about Massage Therapy
Wellness is an umbrella term for any number of treatments, practices, and programs that help prevent disease and injury. Wellness programs have sprung up all over the United States, and there is currently an increased need for program directors. Being a wellness program director often means facilitating communication between those who provide wellness products and services and the general public. As a program director, you may be responsible for disseminating newsletters to your community that give important information about massage therapy, yoga, nutrition, or any number of other wellness topics.
If you want to work in the wellness industry, you should think about earning a degree in wellness. There are many online degree programs in wellness that give students the opportunity to study from home. The programs usually combine wellness training with some courses on program management and leadership.
